Perhaps more suitable as a closing or at a staff recruiting or parent meeting, this iteration is more about the benefits of being on a yearbook staff and what a great yearbook can bring to the school community. Still, it includes lots of examples for inspiration and provides strong rationale for choosing this powerful elective — or motivation to get started.

This is an amazing passage written by famous novelist, Pat Conroy, that was originally published as the opening copy in Riverwood International Charter School's yearbook. Set to video by Herff Jones with permission from Pat Conroy, it reminds us of the power and purpose of the books we make.
